I can’t begin to explain what an honor it is to shoot another central coast wedding professional’s wedding, especially when they are as insanely talented as John from Steelhead Cinema. Please, please, please check out his work. He has an amazing eye and you can tell he has a deep commitment to his craft. And I’m doubly excited because his fiance, Shannon, is quite possibly the sweetest person I’ve ever met. They met at Cal Poly, SLO and have managed to stay on the central coast. We met up in Morro Bay with no agenda or set places of where we wanted to shoot and just explored the central coast. Everything is so green from the rain (and we’re getting more this week!) which also made for a little bit lot of mud that John had to carry Shannon through. But they were both up for anything which helps when you have to turn around 3 times because you keep missing that cool looking road only to find a “no trespassing” sign posted as soon as you pull in.

I can’t wait for their Swallow Creek Ranch wedding next month. Because 1) this couple is amazing, 2) the venue is one of my favorites, and 3) my husband, Adam, is going to second shoot with me. He used to shoot all my weddings with me pre-Hazel, but now stays home with her while I’m at weddings. This one was too good to pass up shooting with him and the stars aligned for it to work out.
