One summer in college I worked at Pancho’s Surf Shop in Pismo Beach. What I thought would be an enlightening job about all things surfing turned out to be a retail job folding endless piles of t-shirts. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, so I was just a tad miserable, so much so that my co-workers would consistently ask me if I was ok. However, I got to meet Nicole, who was endlessly kind to me even though I acted very bummed out. The job didn’t last long, but Nicole I have and been in touch ever since. In that time she meet, dated long-distance and married Matt. I asked them if we could do some photos since I haven’t been able to shoot in a while and they were so sweet to help me get out of my rut.
We headed out to Morro Bay and enjoyed the crisp fall light. We swapped stories about sweet, yet imperfect engagement stories (theirs ruined by a waitress and mine by drinking to much tea), and caught up with Adam for drinks after. My idea of a perfect evening. Thank you, Matt and Nicole!
